...in the Kentucky liberals ability to organize.

Today's rally brought to you by Glenn Beck...apparently this is something that he called for on his radio (?) show, and may be occurring like lice breakouts all over the country today.
The anti-Obama rally across the street is nominally an anti-tax rally. But as I told Boo, it is a rally of everyone who voted for McCain in the general election in Fayette County. All 100 of them.

Some idiot was passing out leaflets with the image on the right on it. Came up to me specifically because I was wearing my Obama shirt. Others were passing out little copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. And someone sounding like Hitler's Baptist son was shouting out the many amendments that were being trampled on by the government - nay, not the government, but by Obama himself.
There were a few people holding signs that said something like "We Surround Them" - I don't really know what that means, unless you mean that the Conservative anti-Tax, anti-Stimulus, we love Sarah Palin because she didn't take all the stimulus money people here in Kentucky surround all the blue Liberals - and blue in this sense, here in Kentucky means depressed. Yes, Kentucky, in general, was for McCain. Yes, Kentucky, in general, doesn't care that it's being treated by McConnell and all the coal moguls like a bottom bitch without lube. Yes, Thomas Frank needs to write a book called What's the Fucking Matter With Kentucky because compared to us, Kansas is a symbol of enlightenment.

What we have across the street is a bunch of white, churchgoing folk most of whom don't know that the pols they are listening too - I was told Stan Lee was there, no, not cool comic book Stan Lee but neoconservative, Bible-thumping,
pornstache wearing Stan Lee from Lexington - are using GOD and COUNTRY as a means to keep them down, to keep them without health insurance, to keep them submissive (give them Nascar and Wrastling), and to keep them voting against themselves.
