Karen B. Allen of Lexington said her recipe for chicken and dumplings came from her Granny Christie, who probably got it from her own mother. Allen said that when she was a child, it was her family's favorite special-occasion dish.
When I first started working at the LPL, Karen was my manager, and I greatly enjoy seeing her though now she works at one of the branches.

thats one of my fav dishes, my mum used to make it all the time, I cant wait to try these...yummers
I've tried making dumplings a few time and they never come out good - I've given up!
JP, this has me thinking. Maybe I can take my mom's recipe for chicken and dumplings and turn it into a faux chicken and real dumplings dinner. Yum, yum. :)
