I was just "friended" on facebook by a former colleague who turns out to be a libertarian. I'll probably shortly unfriend him because our exchanges have been idiotic... I can't let him get away with the crap he sent my way (he's already hit at least 6 of the 24 types and it's only been two days). I'll send this to him and then will hit "unfriend."
Libertarianism, like most forms of government, is a wonderful idea. The devil is in the practice. We've seen examples of how it works, like with the people who cheered at the theoretical death of someone who couldn't afford healthcare.
I like that line, tamayn: "The devil is in the practice." But sadly too true. Believe me, I can be know for romantic levels of idealism, but still. Not all of us can be trusted to our own devices. Nor should we all have to fend for ourselves.

At first I didn't quite get it. Then I understood why: I had read "24 Types of Lirarians"!!!

LOL, Mitch. Sorry about your friend. Though you may as well simply unfriend him: he may not understand the comic. ;)
I enjoyed it, becca. :)
