"What are you so afraid of? That’s my question. Gay people getting married? What is so scary about that? It’s complicated. You grow up in a religion like that and you try to pray the gay away. I feel sadness for people like that. This is where people start short-circuiting—instead of being brave and questioning their beliefs, they are afraid and feel that they have to defend them. I don’t mind a world with religion in it. There are some beautiful tenets within all religions. What I get hot about is when they start dictating how other people must live. People suffer because of it. They are spreading misery." - Brad Pitt, speaking to Parade Magazine.Via Joe.My.God.

if everyone would just live their own lives making sure it was a happy healthy one the world would be a better polace....I say Bravo to Mr. Pitt ;)
Thanks for sharing this post. Brad Pitt's "movie star thing" made me not want to like him. But, what he says and does made me change my mind a while back.
And he is aging soooooooooo well!
*sigh*
;)
Hugs

David, that would be lovely. To be happy and to have respect for other people's happiness. :)
Mitch, oddly enough, I've avoided most of his movies. I guess I was afraid he'd end up like Tom Cruise...i.e. crazy. :)
Jon, yes, yes he is. :)
