For No Real Good Reason...

...other than a craving for some Judy Holliday.

I can't say that I've ever been a big biography/autobiography reader, but I can say that though my library no longer owns them, I read both biographies we had on Judy Holliday.

Although she specialized in playing ditzy blonds, every director she worked with said she was the smartest woman they ever met.

becca, if you ever find that CD (or vinyl for that warm snap crackle and pop) by all means buy it. (I'm sure you can find it on Amazon.) Also she did a recording with her at-the-time lover Gerry Mulligan which was also good.

Tim, she apparently had a genius IQ. And she was told by her lawyer to play the ditzy blonde when she went before the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee. She was not blacklisted but she got so much hateful mail that it caused her to miscarry. :(
