I Have One Request...

...could you release the original movie on DVD, please? (Or, possibly, any skill I have at finding things on the Internet inexplicably escape me when it comes to this movie.)

I remember my roomate, at the time, wanted to sit down and watch this and I was expecting some dykey B-Movie fodder and it turned out to be one of the greatest movies I have ever seen.

Sean, I guess I need to work on that. :)

Mind of Mine, I know, right! It was such a surprise and so, so good! I still to this day tell people what my root was.

Thank you, Larry. I knew there are far, far better people out there at the Internets than me. :)

Did you get my email about ebay?

Also available from Netflix, at least on DVD which is the plan I have. I gave it 4 of 5 stars when I watched it a few years ago, some very clever bits.

Careful there, Larry. It's a region 2, meaning it won't work on an American DVD player. North America is region 1. If you play it on your computer, it will tell you that you have 9 more chances to change for another region, afterwards, it will region lock you to whatever you last played. If you can find something region 0, that would be the ideal. I have it back home on DivX AVI, and I'd send you a copy, but there's a continent between myself and the video.

I fell in love with this video when I was about 16. I saw the review on Siskel and Ebert, and all I can remember of it is Eddie Cibrian suggestively rubbing the handle of a garden rake... That was all I needed....for a while.

Kyle, I did. But can you simply buy things from ebay? I thought it was all auctiony.

brotherdoc, I think I just need to get myself firmly entrenched in the 21st century and get a better Internet connection at home and Netflix. :)

Tamayn, actually the thing I remember the most - although admittedly not well - is a song played during the two main characters' first sexual experience. I was obsessed with that song (and now looking at my iTunes, I need to get it again).

She Looks At Me - That Dog

I found a copy of it done by the Rentals, which is actually half Weezer and half That Dog. They used to tour together, but That Dog broke up a while ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9Hb7J5Mk5M

That Dog is actually a great band. Gagged and Tied is their best CD in my opinion. Of ocurse, Anymore is my favorite of That Dog's songsm but it's off Totally Crushed Out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbMNcJ_zGf0

He's Kissing Christian is an hilarious video too, and a very strange song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmFfQH1kOqk

I don't know if those are right, Tamayn, but I will check. I seem to recall a band name or song name, something like Glass Harp Cello Case...or something like that. :)

Glass Vase Cello Case is the band you're thinking of! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R84rhFHb7Cs

It's the song at the end when she does the cheer! It's also the reason I love Go Sailor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnEKy9bbQ-w

Yup, that's it, Tamayn! :)
