Such a beautiful story! I had a friend that introduced me to it in high school, and never was I happier.

Disney had made The Black Cauldron before I ever read the books, but I saw that movie a dozen times in the theater. I remember once I was completely alone in the theater and freaked out when the zombies came. :)

If you've never read the book, start with the book of three and read them all. The Disney movie doesn't do the series justice!

I've read them multiple times. They are exciting, moving, and fully thought out fantasies. (Lloyd Alexander's Westmark trilogy is also great.) I never saw the Disney movie because I didn't want anything to spoil my vision of the characters.

By the way, I've been reading your blog for quite awhile and have never taken the time to stop and leave a comment. Your taste in books and music (and men), as well as your personal experiences, are remarkably similar to mine.

Thanks for writing!
